Optimized material and production costs are achieved by early detection of all quality relevant defects in the hot rolling mill. Conceived for harshest production environment, automated inspection solutions form ISRA PARSYTEC provide early and precise defect identification throughout the entire production step of red hot strips at high speed processing.

This allows users to pinpoint the defect causes and correct them by replacing rollers.

3D inline inspection makes invisible defects visible

By combining 2D inspection with 3D laser triangulation, ISRA PARSYTEC is able to reliably distinguish between material defects and the surface structure of slabs or heavy plates. Invisible to standalone contrast-based 2D, the 3D inspection reliably detects defects on highly structured, extremely hot material.

The unique combination accurately detects and classifies all quality-related defects and measures their depth - right at the start of the production process. 

The inspection data generated is vital for quality evaluation, preventing unmarketable products from being processed further.
